Findings at the Ruins of Zhentil Keep

Adventure Date: November 29, 2012

Forgotten Realms Date: 1479 DR, The 4th day of Ches

Once the adventurers had rested, they began to descend the "nearly endless" staircase which the mage had dropped down.  When they had arrived at the bottom
they came to a narrow hallway with a door at the right end of the room.  Starfire flew on top of Terious' horn (he is a miniatour) to get a better view.

She then told the rest of the group, "Something doesn't feel right.."

Nixxa was able to detect a trap in the hallway.  The flooring was ready to cave-in once weight was applied, to leave any unfortunate passer-by down into a pit of acid.
Nixxa was also able to fix the flooring such that the group could pass.

Finally, they arrived to the other end of the hallway, and Terious opened the door.

The room which they were now looking into contained a group of soldiers, humans to be exact. Behind the soldiers stood an Elf, a Shade (Shadowfell), and a Tiefling.
The three in the back appeared to be gathered around some magical device.

Draconus began to speak, "Hail, who are you?"

The Shade screamed "They aren't the buyers, Attack!"

The group prepaired for battle but Rimeron appeared to have it covered.  He jumped in front and veered off to the right of the room.  Taking a dazzling double shot at

the Shade and hitting the mark everytime.  The Shade fell dead.  The enemy had lost what seemed to be an advantage and decided to give up.

The rest of the group decided they would let them go for a mere price of information.  The Tiefling began to explain why they were in this place.
He began to explain that they were Zhentarians.  The device which they were guarding was only a piece of a magical summoning device which on the market would make anyone rich.  They had infiltrated the West Moon Company so they could get hold of the device without interference from the elves.

After the Tiefling had explained everything, they let him and the others go free.

The group then began to search the room.  Finding a room with a chest and odd looking panels on the ground.
Inside the chest they found, 2 suits of leather armor, an interesting looking scabbard and a broken sword.
Axio recoginzed the sword but couldn't place it...it was something...as if from his past.

The group decided to take the chest with the odd looking panels (Which Axio had determined were some sort of transportation devices) and took them back to town.

When they had arrived back to the portal opened by Mazel the Necromancer, a Man (appearing to be a cleric) Halted them.  Say, "Who is doing this??"  As the group looked

at the magical portal opened Mazels device, they saw crumbs of food coming out.  The man said "Please tell the mage to stop this nonsense!"

The adventures entered the portal and immediately saw Mazel with a new supply of Zombified animals.  He quickly said, "Oh thank you for the new supply!"
The group left it at that...
